Five events over the Summer months, each with an evening social
The league consists of five MapRun events, each one being available to run for a month. There will be a social on one Thursday each month.
April: Nursling
May: Otterbourne
June: Chandlers Ford and Boyatt Wood
July: Lymington
August: Barton on Sea

Before each course opens at the start of the month, you will be sent a PIN code to unlock the map. You can take part at any point during that month, or join us on the allotted Thursday for a 6:30 pm mass start followed by a social in the pub.
There are five events in the series with your best three scores to count (100 points for the winner, 99 points for second place, etc.).
The format is a 45-minute score event, so you choose your route (and how far you go!). Rather than being kites at each control, there is a free mobile (or Garmin) app to tell you when you are in the right place and record your time. See the MapRun website for more details.
Each event will be available in the MapRun app from the start date until the end of August but must be completed within the allocated month if you would like it to count towards the league.
Format: 45 minutes, 30 controls. Points are 10, 20, or 30 per control: 10 points for 1 - 10, 20 points for 11 to 20, and 30 points for 21 to 30, for a maximum of 600 points. There is a penalty of 10 points per minute late back or part thereof.
MapRun app: Use the free MapRun app. When navigating to the event, select UK > Southampton > 2025 Summer League > .
Enter the league on Racesignup and you will be sent the event PINs just before each start date.

Results: Results for the event will be available through the MapRun app but, in the interests of fairness, other competitors’ tracks will not be visible until after the month has elapsed. League standings will be updated shortly after that. It is 100 points for the winner, 99 for second, etc., with your best three out of five results to count.
